HOMe (House Of Mercy)

·       Praise the Lord for the Lord’s protection of Pastor William. He was recently involved in an accident in which a bus load of children (estimates near 100) were descending the Aburi mountain road when the brakes failed on the bus. Thankfully the driver negotiated all the twists and turns, but he collided with between 15-20 cars, causing a lot of damage.

·       Please pray for the children and others injured in this bus accident and thank the Lord with us that there were no fatalities.

·       Repair Costs for WAMM’s vehicle which was involved in this accident (see upcoming newsletter in June for more details about this accident).

·       Praise the Lord with us concerning successful surgeries for “Jeremiah” and “Charity”.

·       Please continue to pray with us about a prosthetic leg for “Charity”. The first attempt was not successful (the prosthetic leg was fine, the means of attaching it was not). We continue to look for other options that may be available in Ghana.

Church Planting

WAMM is Currently Working with two churches that share a common name (Hope Community Baptist Church). We will refer to them as HCBC—Oparekrom and HCBC—Odeikrom designated by their locations.

·       Please pray with us for the completion of the security wall around Pastor Paul Adin’s home. They recently experienced a break-in.

·       Please pray with us for a new amplifier for HCBC—Oparekrom’s Sound System.

·       Finances or donation to complete the security wall and some of the interior wall for HCBC—Oparekrom’s Christian Grade School so they can move in this fall.

·       Financial Assistance for funeral costs for an impoverished family at HCBC—Oparekrom who just lost their daughter.

·       Please pray with us for a permanent location for HCBC—Odeikrom. They are currently meeting in a community building they renovated, but recent developments reminded us that this could change at any moment.

·       Please pray for healing/relief for Anna Adin (Pastor Paul’s wife) who currently is struggling with some severe anxiety.

WAMM-USA

·       Additional board members for the WAMM Ghana board. WE are asking the Lord for men and women who have a heart for mercy ministry and who love to pray. It would be great if one of those new board members had some aptitude in non-profit tax law.

·       Additional staff including a development director, a grant writer and someone who would like to transition into the executive director role. Pastor Brian turned 67 years old this year and it is time to think seriously about such a transition.

·       Open doors of opportunity for sharing about WAMM for pastor Brian and/or other board members. These could include churches, small groups, businesses, social/philanthropic clubs, etc.
