Hope Community Baptist Church
In 2015, Hamilton Baptist Church (Northern Virginia) approached me with a request. They wanted to know if I knew anyone in Ghana with whom they could partner to plant a church. My immediate response was to introduce them to Pastor Paul Adin (pronounced like, but not to be mistaken with, Paula Dean) and his wife Anna. This began a relationship which resulted in the establishment of Hope Community Baptist Church (HCBC) in Nsawam.
On January 5th, 2016, Rev. Pau and Anna Adin moved to Oparekrom, an impoverished community within the Nsawam area. In March they started a small Wednesday evening Bible study a with 4 teenagers, which laid the foundation for what would become HCBC. By June the fellowship had grown to 14 members (mostly teens) and they began Sunday morning worship services.
Since that time, the church began a day school (2017) which has become a vital part of of their outreach ministry. Recently HCBC-Nsawam has started a second church in the nearby community of Odeikrom, another impoverished community. Pastor Immanuel (aka Jerry) and others from HCBC—Nsawam have begun meeting with a group of people to establish HCBC—Odeikrom with the intention of reaching out into still other nearby and impoverished communities.
Please take a look at the video below to find our more about Pastor Paul’s vision and how you might help plant more churches in Ghana. Maybe your church would like to have a branch office in Ghana. We’d love to help you accomplish that.
