Since 2003, we have led an effort to protect orphaned and abandoned children on the streets and in the villages of Ghana. Africa's orphan crisis can be solved and we can do it together.

Listen to Jim Ferwerda's (WAMM Board Chairman) testimony about how working with West African Mercy Ministries has changed his life and how partnering with us can have an impact on your life too.

Our Mission

We are West African Mercy Ministries. We are a non-profit faith based organization that works in Ghana West Africa. Our mission is to extend mercy to the widows and orphans of Ghana for the glory of God. We do this by providing food, shelter, a home and most importantly love to the children we receive into our Children's Home.

We are actively seeking these children and providing a safe, clean and loving home where they can grow and experience the love they so desperately need.

We currently operate one children's home in Accra the capital city of Ghana. This vast metropolitan center is home to over two million people. Ghana is in desperate need of care for children who are alone and have been abandoned in the streets of Accra.

our Home

West African Mercy Ministries currently operates one children's home in the greater Accra metropolitan region of Ghana. We call this facility HOMe or House of Mercy.

Our current capacity at this location is around 10 children. Here we seek to meet the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of children who have been forgotten and left abandoned on the streets of Accra.

We currently have two full-time staff members living and working at HOMe, Pastor William Deku and his wife Priscilla. These two precious people care for the needs of these children, because of their passion for orphans and love for the Lord. Please consider praying with us that this ministry would continue to grow and receive the spiritual and financial support it needs.

Christ not only died for all: He died for each.
